The Evolution of the Active Shooter Module 3

The 4th of July parade shooting in Highland Park, IL is just one of a number of recent mass shootings. It seems like every week we have another shooting somewhere in this country to deal with and despite the passage of new federal gun legislation, these incidents would not have been prevented because they do not address the use of assault-style weapons. What would be reasonable measures aside from an all out ban on assault-style rifles in this country? Right now Congress does not have any inclination to take that measure, largely holding on to 2nd Amendment arguments.
