Safety Management Systems Review

Your organization is well into its safety management system (SMS) implementation process and just completed its first SMS audit (performed using the previously developed auditing plan). The company’s safety committee (of which the chief executive officer [CEO] is the chair) has asked you to present an update at the next meeting on the SMS implementation and the results of the most recent audit.

Develop a PowerPoint presentation that will serve as a template for future annual reviews of the SMS by management. Share any key gaps that were identified during the audit as well as recommendations (with assigned responsibilities) for improvement. In your report, include a dashboard based on the key performance indicators (KPIs) identified in Unit III. Be sure that you have incorporated the concept of continuous improvement and that you have summarized the results of your SMS audit.

Your presentation should be at least 12 slides in length and include title and reference slides; the title and reference slides do not count toward the minimum slide requirement. As a part of the presentation, you must use the notes section for the content slides to reinforce your presentation. Ensure your presentation includes visuals, such as images and graphics, to supplement your message. You should use at least two resources for this assignment, one of which can be your textbook. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment.
