Rites or Passage

 A rite of passage marks a person’s entrance into a new stage of life. These ceremonies include baptisms, graduations, and marriages. For many people around the world, various rites such as school graduations and weddings signify the end of one period of life and the beginning of another.

This optional assignment will help us share some background about the different types of rite of passage that occur in different cultures. 

Your Task: Create a PowerPoint presentation that defines a rite of passage (some examples below), gives details of its history and customs, and if possible, include a video of the event to future explain the event.  In addition, one slide must answer the question: How do these rites of passage help in the process of identity formation?
