Directional Process Essay

Write a 330 word set of instructions for the procedure involved in completing a task with which you are familiar. In doing so, remember to aim for an audience actually in need of the information you are going to present, and set as your goal to inform them to the extent that they will be able to successfully complete the procedure based on your instructions. In selecting your topic, make sure to pick one that will be suitable for the length requirement. Also, look for a topic appropriate for an “essay”–that is, one that can be presented in a series of paragraphs rather than the series of numbered steps one typically sees in directional process writing. The challenge in writing the assignment will be to make the writing cohere as you transition from one point to the next without the aid of numbers, letters, or other format features to mark the shift.
