This helps you learn about your chosen field of study. 2. If the company is too large, the project will be very cumbersome; if it is too small of a company, the International Operations function will be difficult. By week three, you need to start writing and editing as we cover topics in the book. Outside resources are required, to demonstrate your knowledge of the industry. 1) Prepare your company’s biography for a hypothetical business in the industry that you plan to work. Your company must have an international component because of the ethics associated with different countries and cultures. 2) Research an Ethics Compliance Officer (ECO) job description. It should be written in a job description format and should be no more than three pages. This is your choice but from past semesters, I have some suggestions for you. • Choose an industry that interests you and you have some knowledge. Or possibley choose a indusrty you want to investigate as a career choice. This makes the semester project writing easier. • Remember the international requirement when creating your company. The company biography is your business story and on which you will base the rest of the semester project. It should be 4-6 pages including a history of the company, the corporate structure, locations, and operations described in general so that I will understand your business. The corporate ethics officer’s job description will be 1-3 pages describing the duties and how they fit into the corporate structure. The Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) will be a great website to help you start your research. When you submit your paper, I will provide feedback so you can improve the paper for inclusion in your semester final project.
