Assignment 3: Assessment and accountability models have become an increasingly critical topic in the field of education as well as politics and economics. You will select three states to compare assessment and accountability models. The purpose of this exercise is to expand your knowledge and understanding of the various ways in which states evaluate student academic performance and utilize assessment results to hold districts and schools accountable.
Instructions: This assignment can be done in either a narrative or chart format. However, the following information must be included: (1) a description of the model(s), (2) scoring measures/levels with explanations/descriptions, (3) results of poor and/or exceptional performance (4) Written summary comparison of the 3 models. Include how many scoring levels, grading levels for schools and districts, etc… Which model may be easiest or most difficult to make annual growth?
