Analysis of the Literature and Theory Application

This independent assignment is a critical analysis of the literature, and an application of sociological theory to any topic of interest to you, To complete this section, follow the requirements below:

Part I

A. Significance of your topic and research question. Briefly discuss your topic, and formulate one research question related to your topic. Using research findings, statistics etc., discuss the significance of your topic and research question.

B. Analysis of Literature. Select 6 refereed journal articles (a.k.a. Peer-reviewed journal articles) that are directly or indirectly related to your topic, and provide a critical analysis of each article. Refer to the link below

You must critically analyze each article or study by discussing the research question, the significance of the study, literature review, relevant theory application, hypotheses (if any), methodology, findings and recommendation. What are the gaps in the study? What would you do differently if you had to conduct the study on your own?

Part II

Theory Application. Provide an overview of two sociological theories, and discuss the relevance of the two theories to your topic/research question
