Activity Assignment

Watch two videos posted: One (“Opposite to Inquiry Based Learning: Direct Teaching”, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqV11UyznZ0 

and the other one (“Inquiry Based activity”):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyO1GP-mLHY&t=2s 

Everything will be upload here in the attachment including the powerpoints and Math. 1. After watching “Inquiry Based Activity,” using Pages 8 and 9 in the PowerPoint posted (Math & Science Conceptual Framework & Inquiry Based Learning), point out a scene (teaching/learning moment) that each science skill you observed (e.g., the skill of measuring can be observed from … ). 

 2. Using the pages 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 in the PowerPoint posted (Math & Science Conceptual Framework & Inquiry Based Learning), criticize practices of the teacher in the video, “Opposite to Inquiry Based Learning. Do you think the teacher in the 2nd video “Generate active thinking,” “Use Socratic questioning,” and “Providing meaningful, useful, and engaging experiences in problem solving?” 

3. Study “Chapter 5: Early Math.” Propose 2 activities that can teach matching, classification, comparing, and ordering and seriation.  (one example of the math activities in this link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px4JPaH3DFM)
